I love my director's chair. It saves my back, gives me a greater range of motion and visibility of my lineup and the kids love it. They feel special climbing into the tall models chair to be the centre of attention and be transformed. Last Halloween, I decided to have fun and decorate my chair to fit in with the surroundings at a haunted barn that I was working at. After all, I painted my own face in a ghoulish manner. My signs look like tombstones and invited models to come and get their "monster makeover". Why not decorate the chair too? |

The FPBAA member shirts are plain white with a lovely logo on the left front. At first, I admit, I thought them a bit dull for a shirt that a face painter would wear, until Cynthia pointed out that that is exactly why they did it. “Think of it as a blank canvas and use it to create something special that represents you!” So, I did. |

 A distinctive feature of tribal art is that it does not aim to REPRESENT things ( in the way that a photograph does) but rather to SIGNIFY them, in the manner of language. In mask making, an animal identity is achieved through symbolic colors and signs featuring the significant elements that make that animal unique.
Here’s an example of how you can take a tribal approach to painting something like a snake face. For each snake face (1 - 5) I followed a general “tribal approach” formula: |

 Great customer service and happy clients are what keeps your business growing.
People see you. They see your work. They want what you are offering, either for themselves or their child. They want you to do a spectacular artistic creation and make them (or their child) feel special – like the centre of the universe. And, they want it all in an instant. What they don’t want is to stand in line and wait. They don’t want to see time wasted making them wait even longer. They may get angry, or belligerent, or silently fuming and frustrated by the wait time in line. |
