Meet November's Artist of the Month, Charlotte Herring.
| Born and raised in Arizona, I now reside in a suburb of Denver Colorado and happily call it home. I started face painting 17 years ago when my sons were born, and I quit my day job as a travel consultant. I just wanted to bring in a little extra cash to take my kids to lunch and to the movies. I started out working large festivals and tons of birthday parties. Well….I still do large festivals and tons of birthday parties. But now I find myself working my business, About Face Painting llc full time and chuckle at those who ask me, “What is your real job?” I was self taught those many years ago, but I have to say that I really grew as an artist after attending my first convention in 2002. I have attended twice and competed both times, coming home with a 2nd and 4th place in face painting. I have also competed twice at the Denver Body Art Ball’s with a fabulous double win with my friend and colleague Jackie Green. Some of my more exciting events have been Cirque du Soleil’s Dralion after party celebration and Celine Dion’s son’s birthday party. I also had the opportunity to work with the Westmore Academy and Kryolan for the 2003 International Esthetics, Cosmetics and Spa Conference in Las Vegas, I did body painting for the Broncos Superbowl celebration, sponsored by one of our local radio stations. Most recently About Face Painting was the official face painting company for the Colorado Rockies for the National League playoffs and the World Series sponsored by Qwest. And lastly, I received the honor to represent the US Body Painting Festival for their 2008 Street Rods and Motorcycles Poster. Charlotte Herring About Face Painting llc
