Meet May's Artist of the Month, Nick Herrera.
|
 Nick Herrera began his makeup career in 1999. He started out working at a year round haunted attraction in Central Florida. At the age of 19 he assisted on his first body paint. As his own passion for the art of body painting has developed, Nick has become interested in both sharing his artwork and teaching his techniques to those who are interested in learning. Although he excels at prosthetics, cirque, and horror makeup, his true love is body painting. Nick has become very well known in the local nightclub industry for his living works of art. He has been gracing the local clubs with his amazing talents for over nine years.
More recently, Nick Hererra career has launched him into a life of excitement, art, travel, and adventure. Body painting has led him to meet many fascinating people including doing body painting for concerts for bands such as Tool, and Rob Zombie. Nick has been working regularly with Universal Studios, Orlando for 6 years. His career has also taken him to Jamaica for body painting, and this will be his third year traveling to Hong Kong with Ocean Park Theme Park. On the competitive circuit, Nick has recently taken first place in the January 2008,Face Painting and Body Art Association Convention, instructor body painting competition.
