About Me
Hi, my name is Alex, I created the World Bodypainting Festival as a place for Bodypainters around the world to meet, share ideas and display their talents.
We give the World Bodypainting Awards each year in July in Seeboden after a week of parties,workshops, side events, live music and fun. Take a look at www.bodypainting-festival.com
We also organize 'BodyCircus' the shrill fantasy ball in a historical castle of Seeboden as a side event in the festival week. For more than 10 years Seeboden is the location for Europe's most colorful event.
The "World Bodypainting Festival" is the biggest art event in the bodypainting theme and thousands of visitors admire the wonderful work of the participants.
Aritsts from 40 nations worldwide come to this unique event and put body art into the mountain and lake scenery. The Lake Millstätter See region's scenery is the stage, where bodies are boldly put on show, and each artist has the opportunity to show his/her own specialities - bodies painted with many different materials and techniques, and sometimes combined with the most fantasticcostumes, masks and show effects.
The bodypainting work at the event is of a high artistic quality. The female - as well as the male bodies - are painted aesthetically, either to the given theme, or from an artisticviewpoint.
The World Bodypainting Festival at Seeboden is the first of its kind in the world and has become the Mecca of Bodypainting. The main days of the festival are from Friday to Sunday. The artists start painting in the public park and later in the day the artwork is judged by a professional jury. The models are after presented to the audience on the big stage. During the day lots of music and show acts are presented. There are music concerts on program till late.
The world awards are chosen in the categories - Brush/Sponge - Airbrush - Special Effects - Fluoro Effects as well as two special categories - Facepainting Award - Special Effects Make up and for semi professionals - Brush/Sponge - Airbrush
